Repairs
Repairs on metal roofs
We repair metal roofs, including ones we didn't install. We don't repair shingle roofs.
Backed-out screws
On exposed-fastener roofs, screws loosen as panels expand and contract. We re-seat them or replace them with larger ones.
Failed gaskets and sealant
The rubber washer under a screw and the sealant at a flashing both age. Replacing them is a small job.
Flashing leaks
Chimneys, skylights, wall joints and pipe boots leak more often than the panels do.
Dents and scratches
Cosmetic dents stay. Scratches through the paint get touched up before they rust.
Peeling paint and rust spots
A coating failure on a small area can be treated. Widespread failure means panels or a new roof, and we'll say which.
Snow guards on an existing roof
Guards can go on a roof we didn't build, if the panel type takes them.
Repair or replace
A repair should cost less than the roof, and we'll say when it doesn't
If a roof needs repair every year, or the coating is failing across whole panels, more repairs stop making sense. We write down what a repair costs, what a replacement costs and the point where they meet, and we leave the choice to you.
